When you're working on your marketing campaigns, are you just being loud or are you actively promoting your business? Posting every day without a clear and concise message makes you look unrelaible to audiences. Look at what you've done so far, do you think you've been doing too much? Posting daily, re-phrasing the same campaigns and Call-to-Actions? If the answer is yes and your results aren't reflecting all that effort then I can tell you why. The truth is the best campaigns are.. mhmm..Creative and strategic. Not loud or flashy but clear, focused and consistent. Below you will see 3 very common marketing mistakes, and how to pivot towards campaigns that build momentum without you burning out or blending into the background.
Your first MISTAKE: Creative marketing campaigns for the win! LOUD is NOT the same as CLEAR.
Sending out an influx of posts does not mean they are connecting with audiences in the way you intended them to. Instead, audiences are getting confused because the message is watered down. Instead of saying multiple different things over a short period of time, stick to your main message, say that point until it sticks. If you are consistent and show up with rhythm you'll builf trust and viewers will keep coming back, Hype is for the short term. If the message feels repetitive and boring to you, it means your viewers are likley to start noticing you now.
Your second MISTAKE: Having Creative marketing campaigns means less confusion, too many things on offer, I'm CONFUSED
Your feed is being crammed with information, so much so that your campaign looks like a puzzle, and trust me, nobody has the time, effort or energy to figure out what you're trying to say. It isn't fun for your audience to work so hard to understand your message or what they're being sold. To fix this it's quite simple; One campaign. One message. One clear outcome. The more you reduce, the more your work comes across as a boring marketing campaigns the better the audience can recieve and understand. Being clear is how you'll get from where you are now, to where you want to be.
Your third MISTAKE: I didn't hear you, I missed that post, could you say that again, please
If you keep switching your message or re-inventing it to sound new and fresh, how can your audience absorb and understand your message? Realistically, people are just scrolling past your post, maybe something will stand out that makes them stop and read further, but on a daily that's not what's happening. They're skimming, scrolling and missing out, and yes, that's annoying, but you can work with that. You're repeating yourself and getting bored and frustrated but today is the day they may actually stop and take note of the post, but you've decided to change the message again, so now they've scrolled on with no interest.
Keeping your message clear and consistent raises the chances of your message clicking for your audience. Consistency isn't just the marketing, its a form of leadership. Your message matters; you should be proud to repeat it over and over again.
